The Bluegill Jig is the perfect size for bluegills, shellcrackers, perch and crappie. Great hand tied ice fishing jig made with natural deer hair or squirrel tail. Each bluegill jig is 1/32 oz and comes in black, olive and chartreuse. Our bluegill jigs are hand tied on Victory #8 sickle hooks that are super sharp and strong to withstand those giant hard fishting bluegill and shellcracker.

The Bluegill Jig mimics a small bug or minnow. Don't let the simple and sparse design fool you sometimes it is just what the fish want. The bluegill jig works great freefalling along a bluff wall, fished on the bottom or under a bobber around brush or docks.

For years I trolled crankbaits for crappie. I always tied a grub off the back and it worked like a charm. I never told anyone about it. Until now. I have been wanting to introduce this technique when I had the right stuff, and now I do. The TRAILER TREBLE attaches to the back split ring on your crankbait and keeps the leader from twisting up.

The Hairy Cricket Jig

I created the Hairy Cricket to fish for giant Redear Sunfish and Bluegills. I’ve found that it also catches lots of crappie and catfish and even a few bass. The Hairy Cricket is just a representation of the many bugs that swim around in the lakes and rivers we fish. I like to tip the Hairy Cricket with a small piece of worm. The Hairy Cricket works great worked on the bottom or under a bobber. I like to use the Hairy Cricket Jig with a bobber when fishing around lots of cover for big Redear and Bluegills.
