Rambling Angler Outdoors began more than 25 years ago. I was building custom fly rods and tying flies to sell. After leaving the Army I worked in Alaska as a helicopter mechanic. I built rods and tied flies to sell. I built my website www.ramblingangler.com and began writing content for it. I became a full time outdoor writer around 2009. I also started designing and building websites.
