Sight fishing is upon us.

Seal the Deal

Sight fishing is upon us. Even if they aren't spawning or building beds yet they will be up cruising and eating on shallow flats and areas that have warmed more than others. My favorite lure for sight fishing is a Trout Slayer Craw by Trout Magnet. You need a highly visible lure because sometimes you don't see the fish real good or feel the bite but if you can see your lure and it disappears set the hook because he don't got (double negative I know) hands. A highly visible lure make a great strike indicator, and a craw has all sorts of appendages which causes it to fall really slow which is usually also a plus. And a little later when they are actually on beds a craw really gets em. They hate a crawdad in their bed. Try a bright colored soft plastic for sight fishing if you haven't already, it's a fun and very effective way to catch'em.
