The Bluegill Jig is the perfect size for bluegills, shellcrackers, perch and crappie. Great hand tied ice fishing jig made with natural squirrel tail. Each bluegill jig is 1/32 oz and comes in black, olive and chartreuse. Our bluegill jigs are hand tied on Mustad #10 sickle hooks that are super sharp and strong to withstand those giant hard fishting bluegill and shellcracker.

The Bluegill Jig mimics a small bug or minnow. Don't let the simple and sparse design fool you sometimes it is just what the fish want. The bluegill jig works great free-falling along a bluff wall, fished on the bottom or under a bobber around brush or docks. Please allow 7 days to mail.

I created the Hairy Cricket to fish for giant Redear Sunfish and Bluegills. I’ve found that it also catches lots of crappie and catfish and even a few bass. The Hairy Cricket is just a representation of the many bugs that swim around in the lakes and rivers we fish. I like to tip the Hairy Cricket with a small piece of worm. The Hairy Cricket works great worked on the bottom or under a bobber. I like to use the Hairy Cricket Jig with a bobber when fishing around lots of cover for big Redear and Bluegills.
