Tinsel Trailers, made for the Trailer Treble Hook, catch fish. Made to trail behind the Slab Knocker Crankbait to catch crappie, the Tinsel Trailer will also catch white bass and any fish that it gets close to. The tungsten bead head allows the trailer to swim straight and keeps the tinsel trailer from twisting in the water. It is also just enough weight to keep the trailer behind the crankbait as you let line out to troll.

The Rambling Angler Tinsel Trailers are handtied here in Kentucky. We use them to troll for crappie. They are simple, affordable and effective on our main target, crappie but will catch many other species such as white bass, bass, sauger and even catfish. We catch some big crappie with the Tinsel Trailers connected to our ALL NEW Trailer Treble attached to the very popular Slabknocker Crankbait. It is the perfect crappie bait if you love trolling for crappie.

A NEW WAY TO PULL CRANKS

TRAILER TREBLE

For years I trolled crankbaits for crappie. I always tied a grub off the back and it worked like a charm. I never told anyone about it. Until now. I have been wanting to introduce this technique when I had the right stuff, and now I do. The TRAILER TREBLE attaches to the back split ring on your crankbait and keeps the leader from twisting up.

The Hairy Cricket Jig

I created the Hairy Cricket to fish for giant Redear Sunfish and Bluegills. I’ve found that it also catches lots of crappie and catfish and even a few bass. The Hairy Cricket is just a representation of the many bugs that swim around in the lakes and rivers we fish. I like to tip the Hairy Cricket with a small piece of worm. The Hairy Cricket works great worked on the bottom or under a bobber. I like to use the Hairy Cricket Jig with a bobber when fishing around lots of cover for big Redear and Bluegills.
